Great to meet you!

My name is Doris Tih, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over six years of experience in psychiatric care. My background includes working in diverse clinical settings, including Arizona State Hospital, the VA, and American TMS Clinics, where I’ve supported individuals across a wide range of mental health conditions. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health. My training allows me to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions through a combination of medication management and supportive, individualized therapy.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and life transitions, with a focus on diverse and underserved communities. I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and supported in your journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is holistic, collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive. I believe effective mental health treatment honors your personal values, cultural background, and lived experiences. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I partner with you to create a treatment plan that feels both meaningful and aligned with your goals. Together, we’ll work to build insight, resilience, and practical strategies that support your overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

Your first visit is an important step towards understanding your mental health and needs, creating a personalized treatment plan that supports your well-being. This session is designed to be thorough, supportive, and centered around your current concerns and symptoms, your mental history, medication history and current medications, family, social and cultural background, life stressors, supports and goal for care. You will have time to ask questions, share concerns, and discuss next steps. We will also review follow-up appointments, communication methods and what to expect moving forward.
