Dorothea Carmichael

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with 23 years of post-graduate experience, (17years clinical). Graduated class of 2000 from University of South Carolina (Columbia). I have several years of experience working with various client populations with various mental health disorders. In addition, I work with couples to resolve conflict and enhance their relationships. My counseling style is geared towards self empowerment.

I provide a safe nonjudgmental environment in order to empower clients to achieve their treatment goals and regain confidence to navigate through difficult situations.

My goal is to assist clients in developing coping skills, gain insight and learn new skills and strategies to assist them in navigating through difficult situations while gaining confidence through empowerment.
