Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed professional counselor in Georgia with over two decades of experience helping adolescents, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges. Since beginning to practice in 2001, I’ve worked with individuals seeking support for trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, relationship struggles, and life transitions. Whether your needs are short-term and focused or you’re seeking longer-term growth, I provide a compassionate, collaborative space to help you heal and move forward.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), both evidence-based approaches that support deep emotional healing. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and inclusive of all backgrounds and belief systems. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel seen, safe, and respected, and where meaningful progress is possible. My goal is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward a more peaceful and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my main goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and supported. I know that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, so I take time to learn about what brings you here and what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we’ll talk through your goals, current challenges, and the areas of your life you’d like to see change or healing.

My approach is collaborative and paced to meet your comfort level. I’ll explain what therapy might look like for you and outline options for treatment, whether short-term support or deeper, long-term work. I create a calm, compassionate environment where you can speak freely without fear of judgment. Clients often describe sessions as both grounding and productive — a place where insight, emotional safety, and real progress come together.

By the end of our first meeting, you will have a clearer sense of direction, initial goals to work toward, and a plan that feels manageable and hopeful.
