Great to meet you!

I’m Dorothy D., a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) providing telehealth services for children (12+), and adults across Connecticut. I specialize in psychiatric evaluations and medication management for conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. My approach is collaborative and focused. I take time to understand your needs and create a personalized plan that supports your mental health. Alongside psychiatric care, I also offer access to coaching resources through a trained life coach. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and empowered to move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is warm, collaborative, and personalized. I take time to understand the full picture your symptoms, daily challenges, strengths, and goals so we can create a treatment plan that truly fits your life. I combine evidence-based medication management with a supportive, holistic focus on emotional well-being, motivation, and daily functioning. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and equipped with practical tools so you can move toward stability, clarity, and lasting wellness.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a comfortable, structured conversation focused on understanding their symptoms, history, and goals. We’ll talk about what’s been challenging, what’s been working, and what you hope to change. By the end, you’ll have a clear plan for next steps and we’ll decide together whether medication, therapy referrals, or other supports are right for you.
