Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Dorothy, a licensed counselor with 30 years of experience in the mental health field. As an artist and a lifelong student, my goal as a therapist is to help you become your own best friend. I work with adults, teens, and children in both individual and family therapy settings, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

My approach to therapy

My treatment approach is holistic and integrative, addressing the needs of individuals and families with skills that promote healthy communication, personal and professional development, and overall wellbeing. I draw from a variety of therapeutic strategies including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems (IFS) parts work, and attachment theory. In our sessions, we may use movement, art activities, games, or journaling in addition to traditional talk therapy to explore and address the issues and skills you want to work on.

What you can expect from me

In our work together, you can expect a compassionate and supportive environment where we can explore your challenges and strengths. I believe in the power of creativity and self-expression as tools for healing and growth, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe to express yourself and explore new ways of being.
