Great to meet you!

I have a doctorate in counseling education and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 20 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, blending compassion with practical tools you can use in daily life.

I have worked extensively with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. I also have experience supporting people through co-parenting challenges and other family dynamics. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your story, gain new perspectives, and discover your own strengths.

Outside of my clinical work, I have a background in teaching at the college level, supervising counseling students, and developing mental health programs. This diverse experience allows me to bring both a broad perspective and a deep understanding of the counseling process to my clients.

My approach to therapy

In our work together, I’ll tailor sessions to your unique needs, drawing from approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to move toward the changes you want in your life.

What you can expect from me

After we meet, you can take away from our sessions:

  • Clarity – A better understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how they connect to your life experiences.
  • Practical Tools – Strategies you can use right away to cope with stress, manage emotions, and improve communication.
  • New Perspectives – The ability to see challenges from different angles, opening the door to more choices and solutions.
  • Emotional Relief – A safe space to release difficult emotions without judgment, and feel heard and understood.
  • Confidence & Self-Compassion – A stronger belief in your ability to handle life’s challenges and treat yourself with kindness.
  • Healthier Relationships – Improved skills for setting boundaries, resolving conflict, and connecting meaningfully with others.
  • A Sense of Direction – A clearer vision of your goals and steps you can take to move toward them.
