I have 10 years of professional experience as a social worker serving children, adults, and families in community settings. Prior to practicing as a social worker, I also worked as a crisis advocate, behavioral therapist, career educator, and research assistant. My area of specialization includes family and relationship issues, trauma, mood disturbances, substance abuse, domestic violence, child abuse or neglect, and adoption.
My approach is person-centered, solution-focused, collaborative, and strength-based. I believe in being flexible and catering my approach to each individual's unique needs. I often incorporate solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational therapy when working with my clients.
My clients can expect to have a safe and supportive space to tell their story, work through their life challenges and process their thoughts and feelings in sessions with me. My hopes are that my clients can feel empowered to be their own change agents and gain the insight, support, and skills that they need to live their lives to their fullest potential from sessions with me.
