Great to meet you!

I originally was a research psychologist investigating how the nervous system and brain evolve over the lifetime. In my mid 40's i respecialized to work with the clinical population in a rural setting. I am active in supporting opportunities for all to grow and build stronger life experiences.

My approach to therapy

My style is more ego state based but i use a conversational approach involving a broad array of approaches. Healing and coping are 2 entirely different goals, coping is a beginning, but learning to resolve trauma leads to healing, and enhances the remainder of the life experience. Finding ways for the clients to resolve the past memories that do not make sense may create pathways to healing.

What you can expect from me

They should feel accepted and acknowledged for who they are and how they became who they are today. Challenges and questions that were created to process and think over are usually present. Learning to appreciate the person in your mirror is important, and often it may not seem like we covered much but the questions raised are ripe for thinking through over the next couple of weeks. They are the owners of the therapy, and I search for pathways to help guide them where they desire to grow.
