Great to meet you!

I am Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and a Navy Veteran. I have a bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies from California Baptist University in Riverside, California. I completed a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas in 2012. I have been a practicing clinician since 2014.

My approach to therapy

I have experience treating individuals with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, addiction, grief, trauma, and adjustment issues. I am an active directive therapist meaning that I believe in giving feedback, direction and homework assignments. I utilize a variety of treatment methods such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential, Gestalt, Solution Focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Career Counseling.

What you can expect from me

I believe that every person’s life could be a novel. Everyone is born with a set of unique experiences, gifting and personality. Therapy should utilize and capitalize on these unique qualities of each individual. A good therapist will help to uncover, provide feedback, and talk with each individual about solutions to life’s challenges. One goal of therapy is empowering somene to be the best version of themselves.
