Greetings! I am Dr. Amanda - Owner of Sunshine Counseling DPC, PLLC. I am an LPC psychotherapist in Houston, Texas and originally from the state of Mississippi. I consider myself to be a holistic therapist that attempts to make every client experience personalized and individualized to that specific person or couple. I am not a "one size fits all" type of therapist and I try to meet my client's needs based off of their personality. I am direct, open-minded, warm, and empathetic.

I don't consider myself a "textbook" style therapist. As I will not read to you directly from a book or specific theory. I take a more non-traditional approach and meet my client's needs on an individual and personalized basis. I utilize a mixture of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy a long with writing and homework assignments.

As my client, you can look forward to personal self-growth, self-love, healing, more internal understanding of self, autonomy, self-awareness and self-actualization. We all go through things in life. We just need different coping tools to be able to manage them and that's where I come in to help. Let's be the sunshine after the rain, together!
