Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Camille Ellimac-Raheem, professionally known as Dr. Camille. While I have not been in the counseling profession for decades, I bring more than 30 years of experience helping, encouraging, and supporting others through life’s challenges, changes, and unexpected seasons.

My own life experiences have also shaped the compassion I bring to my work. As I prepared to become an empty nester and watched my children leave home for college, I found myself navigating a significant transition of my own. Today, they are all college graduates, but I still remember what it felt like to adjust to a changing role as a parent while discovering what the next chapter of my own life would look like.

That experience helped deepen my understanding of how life transitions can affect our sense of identity, purpose, relationships, and emotional well-being. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, an empty nest, stress, self-esteem challenges, or simply wondering, “What’s next for me?” I want you to know that you do not have to figure everything out at once.

I often remind my patients that you “bite an elephant one bite at a time.” Sometimes moving forward begins with taking one manageable step. Even during difficult seasons, there can be light at the end of the tunnel. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, encouraged, and empowered to heal, grow, and move forward.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and use an integrative approach tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Depending on your individual needs and goals, I may incorporate Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches to support meaningful change and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where we begin getting to know one another. We will discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your concerns, and identify what you hope to gain from our work together. I believe an effective therapeutic relationship is an important part of the healing process, and I encourage patients to advocate for themselves. If at any point you feel that I may not be the right therapeutic fit for you, please feel comfortable sharing that with me. I respect your decision and am open to having that conversation without judgment or pressure, and when appropriate, I can help connect you with another provider who may better meet your needs.
