Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Dr. Christina Lipe, and I’m glad you’re here.

I’m a therapist and the owner of Solid Ground Mental Health. I earned my doctorate in Social Work and have spent my career helping people navigate the complicated, messy, and deeply human parts of life. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy can be meaningful and challenging without feeling cold or clinical. There is absolutely room for humor, creativity, and being yourself in the process.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship and family concerns, identity exploration, life transitions, self-esteem struggles, and more. I have a particular interest in helping clients understand how past experiences and relationships continue to shape the way they see themselves, relate to others, and respond to the world around them.

My work is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and individualized to the person sitting in front of me. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from evidence-based practices while also paying attention to your personality, strengths, experiences, relationships, and goals. I’ll help you recognize patterns, understand where they came from, and figure out what you want to do differently.

You can expect me to listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions, celebrate your progress, and gently challenge you when it may help you grow. I don’t believe my job is to tell you how to live your life. My job is to help you understand yourself more fully, build practical tools, and feel more confident making choices that fit the life you want to create.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can start wherever you are.

My approach to therapy

I bring extensive experience working with individuals and families navigating trauma, chronic stress, life transitions, and complex systems of care.

My clinical approach is trauma-responsive, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. My work is informed by training in modalities such as EMDR, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems therapy, with particular attention to nervous system regulation, pacing, and individual readiness. I prioritize safety, consent, and context, recognizing that meaningful change occurs when care is thoughtfully tailored rather than rushed.

What you can expect from me

Clients often describe my style as steady, direct, and compassionate. I value clarity, curiosity, and partnership, and work to create a therapeutic space where people feel respected, understood, and supported as they move forward.
