Great to meet you!

I am a Doctor of Social Work and have worked with adolescent, military, first responder, and civilian populations. I specialize in trauma and compulsive disorders. I am a CPT provider and have completed EMDR training.

You have many choices on who you choose to trust with your treatment. Whether you choose me to be your therapist or not, you owe it to yourself to care for your mental health.

My approach to therapy

I use honesty, humility, humor, and integrity in my therapeutic work. I believe the therapeutic relationship is vital to the recovery process and therapy is meant to help you learn how to help yourself in an environment you feel safe in. I believe suffering is a part of life; however, some suffering is self-imposed and worsened by our beliefs and actions.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to help you examine the reasons you are struggling. Topics such as trauma, compulsive behavior, fear, shame, grief, and self-hatred are examples of the hang-ups I can help you with. You can expect that I will be the person to see it through regardless of the issue(s).

For example, examine this quote.

“You have the life you’re willing to put up with.” -Gary John Bishop.

Ask yourself, what are you "putting up with" that is unhelpful in your life.
