Great to meet you!

I'm a straight shooter who genuinely cares about the people I work with. After 26 years in community mental health, I've learned that what clients usually need most is someone who will be honest with them, not just agreeable. I hold dual licensure as an LMHC and Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC 1), which means I'm equipped to work with the full picture: trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use, and the complex ways these conditions intersect. I've had the privilege of supporting adults from all walks of life, including folks from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I'm currently accepting new clients and offer evening sessions to fit a variety of schedules.

My approach to therapy

My work is strengths-based, collaborative, and practical. I believe you already have more inner resources than you might realize right now, and my job is to help you access and build on them. I draw on evidence-based methods including CBT, trauma-focused CBT, cognitive processing therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused brief therapy, adapting my approach to what actually fits you, not a predetermined protocol. I'm direct when it's helpful, supportive when it's needed, and always honest. My focus is helping you reduce suffering, build resilience, and feel more in control of your life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you in, what's been most difficult, and what you're hoping therapy will do for you. You don't need to have it figured out. I bring honesty and curiosity to that first conversation, and by the end you should have a clearer sense of what we'd work on and whether I feel like a good fit.
