Clients can expect the first fifteen minutes of our initial session to include a quick review of the practice policies. We will then begin our assessment by clarifying symptoms, top three concerns, the nature of past counseling experiences, and their goals for our work. Each subsequent session will start with a broad summary of the previous one and continue the process in a very focused manner.
Although I create an atmosphere that is hospitable, inclusive, and free of judgment, client outcomes are contingent upon the dynamics at play and the client's investment in the therapeutic process. Signs of progress can include reduced symptoms, heightened self-awareness, a deeper understanding of one's partner, improved intimacy, a sense of resolve, work-life balance, and enhanced self-care awareness.
