Great to meet you!

I’m glad you’re here. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about social justice and promoting the accessibility of mental health care. I received my Masters of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College with a methodology in Clinical Practice with Individuals, Families, and Groups. I have experience working with diverse client populations and the LGBTQIA+ community. I have worked with clients experiencing a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and difficult family and relationship dynamics.

My approach to therapy

I believe in establishing a supportive environment for clients by acknowledging their complex needs and utilizing trauma-informed care. My work is informed by psychodynamic theory, which examines the motivations behind our behaviors and emotions.

What you can expect from me

I feel that clients’ “success” in therapy is related to the level of comfort and rapport they have with their therapist. I strive to foster a strengths-based, person-centered environment in sessions. I focus on establishing a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, approachable, and professional. During the first session, I’ll ask you to share information that will help me understand what you hope to gain from therapy. From there, we’ll work collaboratively to help you take steps towards these goals.
