Great to meet you!

When life feels complicated, heavy, or out of your control, therapy can be a place to slow down and find your footing again. Hi, I’m E’Terica, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting individuals and families navigating life transitions, trauma, court and DFCS-related situations, parenting concerns, family stress, and complex systems involvement. I work with adolescents and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, chronic stress, trauma responses, relationship conflict, behavioral concerns, or the pressure of trying to manage everything at once. My approach is supportive, direct, and collaborative. I care deeply about creating a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and equipped with practical tools to move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented. I help clients better understand how their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and past experiences connect, especially when stress, trauma, anxiety, parenting challenges, family conflict, or major life changes begin affecting daily life. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care to help clients identify patterns, manage triggers, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, and build emotional regulation. I tailor each session to your individual needs, whether you are working through court-related stress, family instability, parenting concerns, relationship difficulties, or feeling stuck in survival mode. I provide honest feedback, practical guidance, and a steady, supportive presence as we work toward lasting growth.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brings you to therapy right now. You’ll have the opportunity to share your concerns, goals, and any important background information at your own pace, whether you are dealing with trauma, anxiety, stress, parenting struggles, DFCS involvement, family conflict, or major life transitions. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your needs and what kind of support would feel most helpful. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and building a plan for moving forward. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being open from the very beginning and leave with more clarity, direction, and hope.
