Great to meet you!

I am a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of experience in psychiatric nursing. I graduated cum laude from Walden University in 2022, where I completed advanced training in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions.

My clinical specialties include attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder. I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care while creating a supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment.

My goal is to collaborate with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan that promotes emotional wellness, stability, recovery, and an improved quality of life.

My approach to therapy

I believe that effective mental health care begins with trust, compassion, and collaboration. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and concerns. Every individual is unique, and I recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to treatment.

My practice is centered on evidence-based, patient-focused care. I work closely with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, education, lifestyle modifications, and coordination with therapists and other healthcare professionals when appropriate. I value shared decision-making and believe patients should be active participants in their treatment.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns.

During this initial evaluation, we'll talk about what brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, your medical and psychiatric history, any previous treatments or medications, your family history, and how your mental health is affecting your daily life. We'll also discuss your personal goals and what you hope to achieve through treatment.

Based on this comprehensive assessment, we'll work together to develop an individualized treatment plan that best meets your needs. This may include medication management, recommendations for therapy, lifestyle modifications, or referrals to other services when appropriate. If medication is recommended, I'll explain the benefits, potential side effects, and answer any questions you may have so that you can make an informed decision about your care.
