Great to meet you!

If you're looking for a therapist who is comfortable talking about suicidal thoughts, you've come to the right place.

My practice is intentionally focused. I work exclusively with adults age 45 and older who are experiencing suicidal thoughts, or a significant life event that has left them questioning whether life is worth continuing.

Many people carry suicidal thoughts alone because they're afraid of being judged, misunderstood, or immediately sent to the hospital. I understand those fears. My role is to create a space where we can talk openly, honestly, and without shame about what you're experiencing.

I use the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS), an evidence-based framework designed to help people move toward safety, stability, and renewed reasons for living. Whether you've struggled with suicidal thoughts for years or they're connected to a recent life event, we'll work together to understand what's driving them and what will help.

My approach to therapy

I am comfortable talking about suicidal thoughts. I won't panic. I won't judge. We will work together to understand what's driving them and move toward safety and stabilization.

CAMS is a collaborative process. Rather than focusing only on risk, we focus on understanding the unique factors contributing to your suicidal thoughts and addressing them together. My role is not to tell you what's wrong with you—it's to partner with you in discovering what is making life feel unbearable and what needs to change.

While CAMS is the foundation of my work, I may incorporate techniques from CBT, ACT, DBT-informed skills, Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused therapy when they support your goals. These approaches are used in service of the CAMS process rather than as standalone therapies.

Clients often describe me as warm, honest, practical, and collaborative. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely understood and actively involved in their own care.

What you can expect from me

When we work together, you can expect a therapeutic relationship built on respect, honesty, and collaboration.

My practice is intentionally short-term and focused. Many people complete CAMS within approximately 6–12 sessions, depending on their needs. Our work centers on safety, stabilization, and resolving the issues contributing to suicidal thoughts—not on long-term, open-ended therapy.

If you're already working with another therapist, CAMS can often serve as a focused period of care before you return to your therapist with greater stability and a clearer path forward.

Because my practice is highly specialized, I am not accepting children, adolescents, or young adults, and I do not provide general psychotherapy. My focus is adults age 45 and older seeking treatment specifically for suicidal thoughts and suicide-related distress.
