Great to meet you!

I'm Ebony Erickson, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in New Jersey, offering both in-person and telehealth therapy to adolescents, adults, and seniors. I have a broad and deep clinical background, with specialties in PTSD, anxiety, depression, addiction psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry. I also support clients navigating trauma, OCD, substance use, domestic violence, grief and loss, family issues, relationship challenges, identity, stress, and cultural and ethnic concerns. I bring a culturally informed, strengths-centered approach to everything I do, and I'm committed to meeting each client with honesty, care, and genuine investment in their growth.

My approach to therapy

I draw from a rich range of evidence-based approaches tailored to your specific needs — including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Family Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strength-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology. For trauma, EMDR offers a powerful, research-backed path to processing what words alone can't always reach. For relationship and family concerns, I work systemically. And across all my work, I stay anchored in your strengths and what meaningful change looks like for you specifically.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a space to slow down and connect. I'll ask about what's brought you in, what's been weighing on you, and what you're hoping our work together will help you move through. Whatever you're carrying — a specific diagnosis, a life in transition, or something you've never quite put into words — my goal is for you to leave that first session feeling truly heard and with a clear sense of what moving forward together might look like.
