Great to meet you!

Hi, there! So you have decided to pursue assistance with healing, processing hard things, and mood management. Using skills that are discussed and tailored to your needs, it would be my pleasure to assist you with healing from betrayal; adjusting to life's disruptions and disappointments; or simply learning how to move forward from a hurtful situation that left you feeling stuck.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am trained in specialized trauma-informed practices that aid with learning how distressing events cause avoidance, detachment, and feelings that are often difficult to express. I help you to learn how your thoughts promote feelings and how those feelings then prompt certain behaviors. Depending on your preference, eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) and prolonged exposure therapy (PE) may also be skills that we can incorporate into your treatment.

What you can expect from our first session

We will explore the way you speak to yourself and dissect how distressing events have changed the way you look at life and people. We will explore skills that help you to process traumatic events in a healthy and safe manner. You are encouraged to show up in ways that you need to, in order to heal in the safest way possible.
