Great to meet you!

My name is Ebony Walker and I am an LPC in the State of Virginia. I completed my undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University and obtained my Masters Degree from Liberty University. I have a history of working with individuals with a broad range of concerns to include: depression, stress/anxiety, lack of coping skills, issues with anger, relationship issues, trauma, poor communication, abuse/neglect, relationship and family conflict with focus on adults, adolescents and couples.

My approach to therapy

My clinical approaches include: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy. I am versatile in my counseling approach and like to meet my clients where they are and utilize whichever approach works best for them. Everyone is different.

What you can expect from me

Prioritizing our mental health is very important and I want to help you get to where you want to be. I believe we make changes when we are ready and that we cannot do it for anyone else; so I encourage you to ask yourself; “Am I ready?” and “What do I really want?” I will challenge you and sometimes we may have those dreaded difficult conversations; however I believe that sometimes it is necessary to address the elephant in the room in order for us to become the best version of ourselves.
