Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Eder Perez, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals, couples, adolescents, and families navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and clarity. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling from Northern Arizona University and have experience supporting clients facing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family conflict, stress, life transitions, self-esteem struggles, and trauma-related experiences.

I believe meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you can openly explore challenges, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and build practical skills that support long-term growth.

As a bilingual therapist, I provide services in both English and Spanish and strive to offer culturally responsive care that honors each client's unique background, values, and experiences. Whether you're working through a difficult season, strengthening relationships, or pursuing personal growth, I look forward to helping you move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented. I view therapy as a partnership where we work together to better understand your experiences, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and person-centered techniques to help clients develop practical coping strategies and healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I help clients identify their strengths, build resilience, and take achievable steps toward their goals.

I have a special interest in working with individuals and families navigating relationship challenges, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and self-esteem concerns. My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and empowering, while also providing honest feedback and practical tools that clients can apply in everyday life.

Every client is unique, so I tailor treatment to your specific needs, goals, and circumstances. Together, we'll create a plan that feels realistic, effective, and aligned with what matters most to you.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong foundation for our work together. You can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can share your story at a pace that feels comfortable.

We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, important aspects of your personal history, and what you'd like to accomplish through counseling. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, strengths, and goals while making sure you have plenty of space to share what's most important to you.

By the end of our first meeting, you'll have a clearer understanding of how therapy can help, what areas we'll focus on, and the next steps in your treatment journey. Many clients leave feeling relieved to have a plan, hopeful about the future, and confident that they have a supportive partner to help them navigate challenges and create lasting change.
