Great to meet you!

Welcome! I'm Dr. Ben Osevwe, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 22 years of experience in mental health care, including over 4.5 years as a PMHNP. I founded Solid Foundation Psychiatry with one mission in mind: to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized psychiatric care that empowers individuals to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

I work with adolescents and adults ages 12 through 90, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. I believe that effective mental health treatment goes beyond prescribing medication. Every visit is an opportunity to listen, educate, collaborate, and develop a treatment plan that reflects your unique goals, values, and life circumstances.

My clinical interests include ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, trauma and PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), insomnia, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. Whether you're seeking help for the first time or have struggled with symptoms for years, I strive to create a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns.

I provide both in-person psychiatric care in Pearland, Texas, serving the greater Houston area, and telepsychiatry to patients in states where I am licensed.

My philosophy is simple: Every person deserves to be heard, treated with dignity, and given the tools to thrive. I believe healing begins with a trusting relationship, open communication, and a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

It is a privilege to be part of your mental health journey, and I look forward to partnering with you to help you build resilience, restore hope, and achieve lasting emotional wellness.

My approach to therapy

I believe the best mental health care happens when we work together as a team. My approach is warm, collaborative, evidence-based, and solution-focused. I take time to understand your concerns, answer your questions, and develop a treatment plan that reflects your goals and lifestyle.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and ongoing mental health support for adolescents and adults. My treatment plans are individualized and may include medication when appropriate, education, coping strategies, lifestyle recommendations, and coordination with your therapist or primary care provider.

My areas of focus include:

• Anxiety Disorders

• Major Depression

• ADHD

• Bipolar Disorder

• PTSD & Trauma

• Mood Disorders

• Insomnia

My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to help you improve your relationships, daily functioning, confidence, and overall quality of life.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, supportive setting. We'll talk about your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current stressors, and what you hope to achieve through treatment.

During your initial psychiatric evaluation, I'll take time to listen carefully, answer your questions, and explain any recommendations clearly. Together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, psychotherapy, coping strategies, or additional resources based on your individual needs.

You don't have to have everything figured out before your first visit. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, with a clear plan for moving forward.

Taking the first step can be difficult, but you don't have to do it alone. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward better mental health and lasting emotional wellness.
