Great to meet you!

I work with people in situations that take them to the edge of their abilities or comfort zone. When we are not sure what to expect, our minds may try to fill in the uncertainty with strong thoughts and emotions. They can be mild, or strong enough to stop people from doing the things they need to do every day because of anxiety, depression, or feelings that come up in the wake of change. Sometimes there are things we can't change, but they don't have to keep us from taking the steps that we can.

My approach to therapy

I help people understand their feelings and get beyond the thoughts and beliefs that lead them to behave in ways that hold them back, with powerful, evidence-supported tools like cognitive-behavioral therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness. My strengths-based approach is geared towards coping and improving quality of life and helping you get closer to the things that really matter to you.

What you can expect from me

Together we can build new skills to make your life better. I am collaborative, and you will always feel like what is important to you is central to our conversation. My intention is that you will feel respectfully and attentively heard, and that by the end of our first session you will have an impression of whether this is the right therapeutic relationship for you.
