Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions, as well as those seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their patterns.

Therapy can be a space to pause, reconnect with yourself, and explore what you need to feel more grounded and fulfilled. My approach combines deeper self-exploration with practical coping strategies to help you understand patterns that may no longer serve you and develop new ways of navigating life's challenges. I strive to meet you where you are, honor your individual pace, and create space for honest reflection and growth, all whilst gently challenging you! Whether you're building on strengths you already recognize or feeling unsure where to begin, we'll work together to uncover your existing resources and discover new tools that support meaningful change.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy is an opportunity to better understand yourself and take meaningful steps toward the changes you want to make.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is empathetic, collaborative, and tailored to each client's individual needs. I believe in genuinely listening, meeting you where you are, and creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. While our sessions are flexible rather than strictly structured, our work together remains purposeful and focused on what matters most to you.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), incorporating psychodynamic and humanistic perspectives when appropriate. Mindfulness-based practices are also an important part of my approach, helping you feel more grounded in the present while navigating stress, difficult emotions, and life's challenges.

Our work may involve developing practical coping skills for what you're experiencing now, exploring past experiences and patterns that continue to affect your well-being, or a combination of both. I aim to balance deeper self-exploration with practical strategies for meaningful change, drawing on the approaches and tools that best fit your needs. Throughout the process, we'll move at your pace while making room for new perspectives, self-discovery, and growth.

What you can expect from me

My goal for our first session is to create a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences and beginning to explore what brings you to therapy. This initial meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, understand what you're currently navigating, and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship.

We'll discuss what led you to seek therapy, your goals for treatment, relevant personal history, current life circumstances, and the sources of support and strengths you may already have. This may include exploring current stressors, positive aspects of your life, and areas where you'd like to see change. You don't need to have everything figured out beforehand; we'll work together to begin understanding what feels most important to you.

Our first session is also an opportunity to explore whether we're a good fit and consider what level of care and therapeutic approach may best support your needs. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of what working together might look like and feel comfortable taking the next steps at a pace that feels right for you.
