Great to meet you!

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating relationship challenges, or trying to make changes in your life, I want you to know that you don’t have to figure everything out on your own. I work with teens and adults who are ready to better understand themselves, work through life’s challenges, and find a greater sense of peace and purpose. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I believe therapy should be a safe, welcoming space where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and goal-oriented, and I will work alongside you to build on your strengths, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful change. You deserve to feel heard, valued, and supported, and I would be honored to be part of your journey toward healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping you make meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for you. With experience in private practice and substance use treatment, I have worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and recovery. Our first sessions will focus on getting to know you, understanding your story, and building a trusting relationship where you feel safe, heard, and respected. As you become more comfortable and ready to open up, I will gently challenge you to explore patterns, consider new perspectives, and recognize opportunities for growth. Each session builds on the last, allowing us to deepen our work as trust develops. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps you recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another, and solution-focused techniques that help you identify strengths, set achievable goals, and recognize progress. During our sessions, I will explain the methods we use, how they relate to your concerns, and how you can apply what you learn in your everyday life. We will work together to determine what is most helpful for you, making adjustments as your needs and goals evolve. My goal is to provide support, honest feedback, and practical tools to help you build resilience, create lasting change, and find greater peace in your life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, welcoming conversation where we begin getting to know each other and discuss what brings you to counseling. I want to understand you as a person, not just the challenges you are facing. We will talk about your experiences, current concerns, personal strengths, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We will also discuss what you can expect from our sessions, including how often we meet, how sessions are structured, confidentiality and its limits, and how we will work together to establish meaningful goals. I genuinely want to get to know you and understand your perspective so that we can create a counseling experience that feels comfortable, purposeful, and individualized to your needs. There is no pressure to share everything at once; building trust takes time. As you become more comfortable, we will explore challenges more deeply, identify patterns, and work toward the changes that matter most to you. My approach is collaborative, which means your voice, feedback, and goals will help guide our work together. Each session will build on the last, and we will adjust our approach as needed. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and supported as we begin working toward greater growth, healing, and peace.
