Great to meet you!

Eduardo is an English/Spanish bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his master's degree in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Sport and Human Performance from Adler University. This dual focus has developed Eduardo's competency to work with professional, elite, and novice athletes.

He supports clients with integrated cognitive, behavioral, humanistic and motivational approaches. Eduardo specializes in working with adults and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and bereavement, emotional dysregulation, and academic stress. He also provides psychological skills training to teams, coaches, and individual athletes to help them manage mental health and maximize their performance. Eduardo meets clients where they are in their sport and identity development, facilitating their growth as both an athlete and an individual.

My approach to therapy

Eduardo's approach to therapy is grounded in meeting clients where they are and recognizing that each person’s experiences, goals, and needs are unique. He takes a flexible, individualized approach, tailoring therapy to fit the client rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method. He strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward meaningful change at their own pace.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first therapy session to take place in a warm, welcoming, and receptive environment designed with tranquility and comfort in mind. The goal is to create a space where clients can feel at ease, heard, and respected as they begin their therapeutic journey. The first session is an opportunity to get to know one another, discuss what brings you to therapy, and begin identifying goals and areas of focus. There is no expectation to have "everything figured out", and clients are encouraged to move at a pace that feels comfortable for them while establishing a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship.
