Great to meet you!

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for 18 years and take a holistic, strengths based approach with clients. I work with adults to improve their functioning and quality of life related to, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and relationship issues. I am also a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor and am able to assess and treat substance use disorders as well as treat individuals impacted by substance use.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients through a strengths based perspective and utilize many therapeutic approaches including Psychodynamic, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), among others. I think it’s helpful for clients to develop some insight and understanding to where their issues stem from as well as develop concrete practical tools and skills to manage their issues more productively from day to day.

What you can expect from me

I hope that clients come away from our first session feeling understood and heard. In our first session we should have a general idea of what we're working towards. The approach and modalities we use to get there depend on the presenting issues and will be part of our ongoing discussion.
