Great to meet you!

For more than 24 years, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate some of life’s most difficult and challenging moments. My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, respect, honesty, and the belief that meaningful change is possible when we are willing to understand where we have been, recognize where we are today, and make intentional choices about where we want to go.

Life can leave us carrying disappointment, loss, difficult relationships, self-doubt, anxiety, regret, or painful experiences from the past. Sometimes, we simply feel stuck and are unsure how to move forward. Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to step back, gain perspective, understand ourselves more deeply, and begin creating a different path.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and National Certified Counselor, I draw upon extensive clinical experience and evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help clients identify their concerns, develop meaningful goals, and build practical strategies for change. I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about problems—it should help you develop insight, strengthen your ability to cope, improve your relationships, and move toward the life you want to live.

My philosophy is simple: your past may have shaped you, but it does not have to define you.

Therapy is an opportunity to let go of what no longer serves you, embrace the present, and discover the person you are capable of becoming.

My goal is to help you move forward with greater self-awareness, confidence, resilience, and hope.

It’s never too late to put your Best Self Forward.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy begins with a relationship built on trust, respect, compassion, and genuine understanding. People don't come to therapy because they are weak or broken. They come because something in their life is no longer working, because they are hurting, or because they recognize that they want something different.

My approach is collaborative and individualized. I take the time to understand your story, your experiences, your strengths, and the challenges that brought you to therapy. Together, we identify what you want to change and develop practical strategies to help you move toward those goals.

I also believe that understanding the past can be important—but we don't have to remain trapped there. Our past experiences can influence how we think, feel, relate to others, and see ourselves, but they don't have to determine our future.

Therapy is an opportunity to develop insight, challenge unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and reconnect with the person you want to become.

What you can expect from me

When you begin therapy, you can expect a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly about what is happening in your life.

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I will listen to your concerns, learn about what brought you to therapy, and begin developing an understanding of your experiences, challenges, strengths, and goals. You do not have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door.

As therapy progresses, our sessions will focus on the issues that are most important to you. We may explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, past experiences, and patterns that may be affecting your life today. Together, we will work toward greater understanding and develop practical strategies that can help you create meaningful change.

You can expect me to listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions, provide honest feedback, and challenge you when appropriate. Therapy is a collaborative process, and your voice and goals remain at the center of our work together.

Some sessions may involve difficult conversations or uncomfortable emotions. That is a normal part of the therapeutic process. My goal is to help you work through those moments at a pace that feels safe and productive.

Most importantly, you can expect to be treated as a whole person—not simply as a diagnosis or a problem to be fixed.

You don't have to have all the answers before you begin. Sometimes the first step is simply having someone who will listen and help you find your way forward.
