Efren Lopez

Hello! My name is Efren and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, practicing in Los Angeles. I have been working in the field of mental health since 2016 and have worked with children, teens, adults and older adults, in various settings. My approach is centered around learning to regulate emotions, experiencing emotions and learning about yourself in the process. I am also trained in EMDR and take this approach to help reprocess traumatic memories to foster healing and growth.

My approach is centered around developing a strong therapeutic relationship in a culturally competent and safe environment. I believe in a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, where you are the expert and we work together, to help identify unhelpful patterns in life. I also bring in EMDR protocols to help fully teach self-regulation strategies and reprocess traumatic memories.

My hope for you after sessions with me, is feeling encouraged to become curios about yourself and feeling empowered to take action(s) that feel right for you. I hope to become your biggest advocate and hope to instill a sense of optimism and inner strength to help accomplish whatever goals you have for yourself.
