Efren Olmos

I have a deep understanding via personal history with trauma, mental health diagnosis, and substance use. I have actively worked in the field of treatment for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders for nearly 20 years, serving various populations. I completed and received certification at L.A. Pierce College, pursuant to obtaining my CADC. I have been a Licensed MFT since Sept. 2024. Areas of focus include family/couples' issues, developmental trauma, grief/loss, divorce, codependency, and the impact of addictive disorders on the individual and family systemic unit.

My personal approach is comprehensive and collaborative, emphasizing compassion, attunement, warmth, and directness, with a strong emphasis on attachment and family systems theories. Together, we will illuminate unconscious mechanisms that reinforce one being stuck in a feedback loop of multigenerational patterns that are no longer adaptive, causing pain. Those who resonate with this approach are seeking to understand themselves more fully; to become awakened as to how the past is showing up in the present.

In our first session, we will engage to establish a collaborative rapport, identify goals for your therapy, and begin developing an alliance that will aim to support and serve your needs.
