Great to meet you!

My initial career as an educator influences my therapy as I always support an understanding of concepts and why a particular approach is successful. Two of the most important things I have learned over my 30 years - building a trusting relationship with a client and meeting them at their "worldview" are the fundamental pieces to healing.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client centered where I use my reflective listening to make certain I understand my clients' issues. I allow clients to guide the healing process yet am very willing to be supportive when defining goals and especially when helping clients to identify and process emotions.

What you can expect from me

Even in the initial intake, my clients will take away some simple relaxation/coping skills to reduce anxiety. I strive to listen and keep goals clear while offering a variety of healing options. I also enjoy the use of humor when appropriate..
