Eileen Castro

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience in addiction treatment, co-occurring disorders, and acute psychiatric care. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Point Loma Nazarene University.

I work with young adults and adults who are looking to gain deeper insight, build confidence, and make long-standing changes in their lives. I also have experience supporting men through substance use and recovery, helping them work through challenges and build a more grounded and fulfilling life. This may include supporting clients in better understanding relationships or past experiences, managing mental health symptoms, or developing sustainable tools for recovery and stability.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, understood, and not alone in what they’re going through. I’m direct when it’s helpful, but always compassionate and grounded.

I blend practical tools with deeper emotional and insight-oriented work. I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Depending on your needs, I may draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, SMART Recovery, and experiential approaches. Together, we work to understand patterns, build coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you’d like to work toward.

I keep the space relaxed and conversational; there’s no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is for you to feel comfortable, heard, and supported from the start, and to leave the session with a clearer sense of direction and hope for what comes next.
