Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ejemhen Hines, and for the past 10 years, I’ve been empowering BIPOC young women to step into their full potential. With a background of a Masters in Counselor and LPC, I specialize in personal growth, confidence building, and mindset shifts, helping clients overcome self-doubt and create lasting change. I understand the unique challenges that come with being a young woman of color, and I’m here to guide you through overcoming those obstacles with strategies tailored to you. If you’re ready to break through barriers and transform your life, I’d love to work with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling combines the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a person-centered, empathetic approach, creating a space where you feel truly heard and understood. In each session, we’ll work together to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, while also exploring your emotions and experiences through creative expression, such as art. I believe in the power of both conversation and creativity to unlock insights and healing. To support your growth, I provide tailored homework assignments that help reinforce the skills and strategies we explore in our sessions, encouraging progress outside of therapy as well.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment where we’ll take time to get to know each other and discuss your goals for counseling. I’ll listen closely to your experiences and concerns, while also explaining my approach to therapy, including how we’ll incorporate CBT, person-centered techniques, and creative exercises like art. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear understanding of how we’ll work together to support your growth and progress.
