Dr. Ekaete Lawal

I completed MS degree with specialty as family nurse practitioner (FNP) at SUNY Downstate and a post-MS with specialty as psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) at PACE University, NY. I also obtained my Doctorate in Nursing at NYU. NY. I hold two national board certifications with American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as FNP and PMHNP.

I have over thirteen-years experience in nursing with current special interest in anxiety, depression , ADHD, OCD, and more

I work by helping to simplify mental health life experiences and also helps to address emotional challenges that could feel overwhelming at times by using both medication and psychotherapy approaches. These challenges are addressed by connecting to my patients, helping them find purposes and guiding them towards balance. The goal is to make the patients life more peaceful and enjoyable.

The stigma around mental health could prevent one from seeking for care. I am passionate about helping people lessen their emotional pain. Do not let the fear of being stigmatize hold you back from empowering yourself.
