Hi, I’m Elaine. I’m a licensed therapist offering in-person sessions in the Creve Coeur area, and virtual therapy for clients anywhere in Missouri. I primarily work with teens and adults navigating complex trauma, often with the help of my very lovable rabbit assistants, Orange and Carol.
The EMDR and attachment-based therapy I offer centers on the idea that your brain makes perfect sense, once you understand what it’s been through. Trauma is really good at creating strong, convincing beliefs like “I’m not enough” or “I’m too much.” The problem is, it doesn’t always update those beliefs when your life changes. Together, we can fix that.
As a therapist specializing in trauma, I completely understand it may feel scary to consider talking with a new provider about the hard moments in your life. Please be assured that the first session (and as many sessions as needed after that) is all about getting to know each other to start creating the trust and safety needed to do deep trauma work. There is no pressure to share any more than you are ready to upon first meeting, and we will always take things at a pace that feels safe for you.
