Great to meet you!

I'm really glad you're here. I genuinely love my job and I'm excited to for the opportunity to meet you where you're at, and work with you to manage your goals.

I've been practicing as a counselor since 2022. In between receiving my B.A. in psychology at the University of North Texas, and my M.Ed in marriage, couple, and family counseling from Lamar University, I worked in education for 4.5 years. This time solidified my interest in social-emotional learning, and forming genuine connections with parents and students alike.

I also understand, first-hand, the benefit of working with a therapist who also has experience living in a world that feels designed for everyone but you.

So if a focus on neurodivergence is an important area for you, or you're just ready to engage in therapy, I'd love to connect in a 15 minute consultation to see if we're a fit.

My approach to therapy

I use an eclectic person-centered approach that includes a mix of techniques from Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Analytical Therapy, and Somatic practices, to name a few.

What you can expect from me

Maybe the thought of reviewing your history and trying to be vulnerable with an entirely new person is exhausting.

Or maybe you're having more of a "First Time Being in Therapy. Kinda Nervous 🥺👉👈" moment!

Either way, the first therapy session can be anxiety-inducing, and knowing what to expect can be helpful:

Our initial session will be an intake appointment. That means the first thing I'll do is explain my scope of practice, and afterwards we'll review your intake questionnaire together and explore your therapeutic goals. Throughout this meeting you'll be able to ask any questions or voice concerns you have about the therapeutic process and working together.

My aim for all first sessions (the first few, really) is for us to get to know one another and create an environment that feels safe and comfortable for self-exploration and growth.
