Great to meet you!

I'm Eleanor Wolfe, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with twenty-one years of experience helping people move through some of the hardest moments of their lives. I hold a Master of Science in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, and I'm also a Certified Addictions Counselor and Certified Grief Counselor — training that shapes how I work with substance use, loss, anxiety, depression, and stress. I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors, and I see both individuals and couples. Clients often describe me as warm, direct, and action-oriented — I don't just listen, I help you build a plan you can actually use.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing happens inside a strong, trusting relationship — that the connection between us is often what makes change possible, not just the techniques we use. I draw from a broad toolkit tailored to what you need in the moment: Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Solution-Focused Couples Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Strength-Based approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Rather than sticking to one model, I adapt session to session, always working from your strengths rather than your deficits. My goal is to give you a safe space to be fully heard while also challenging you to work through what's been holding you back — whether that's a relationship, a life transition, grief, or a pattern you're ready to break.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about understanding your story and what brought you here — not just symptoms, but the relationships, transitions, and history shaping your life right now. I'll ask about what's going on with partners, family, work, or self-esteem, and where you feel stuck between the past and the future. Together we'll start shaping a plan grounded in evidence-based methods and matched to your pace. You should leave feeling heard, and with a clearer sense of the path forward toward the life you want.
