Eleanor Mendzies

Greetings. My name is Eleanor. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have been working in mental health for close to 30 years. Within that period of time and after my master's degree, I completed psychoanalytic training. I am a certified psychodynamic psychotherapist. I also completed CASAC educational credits, Motivational Interviewing, and Modern Group. I value my training and applying it to helping the clients I work with gain insights into and overcome their struggles.

I have a creative approach in my treatment style. The interventions I find are the most useful are: Psychological Education, especially relating to psychological boundaries, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

I am motivated and passionate about helping you with struggles relating to anxiety, depression, anger management, stress management, communication problems, trauma, posttraumatic stress, substance miss-use, and poor functioning due to psychosis. I am empathic and am an active listener.
