I believe that two main goals of therapy are to heal and to become stronger. I began my professional journey serving overseas, where I provided help to families and individuals going through crisis and transition. I hold a MA in Clinical Mental Health from Regent University, a Certificate in Family and Sexuality from Riga Gestalt Institute, and am currently serving as Faculty in Clinical Psychology & Psychotherapy for Children & Adolescents for Ukraine Institute for Post-Graduate Education.
As a therapist I affirm client inner authority and strength, create a safe and supportive environment to facilitate growth and develop self understanding and confidence. I believe that developing a compassionate and caring connection with yourself results in better relationships with the world.
At our first session we get to know each other and come up with a plan. In the course of therapy we often work on building strength, attending to wounds and addressing symptoms of anxiety, depression and complex trauma. Goals and gains of therapy include increasing emotional regulation, distress tolerance, stress resiliency, self-awareness and self-esteem; improving interpersonal effectiveness and developing greater ability to understand and communicate feelings and needs.
