Great to meet you!

As a combat veteran, former military spouse and an immigrant I know what feeling like an outsider and dealing with trauma feels like. I am here to bring normality to your life and provide a safe space where you can process your feelings and emotions.

As a clinician, I serve as a guide on your journey to letting your true self be seen. Since 2016, I have been honored to support individuals and families as they take the brave step of embarking on the path toward healing from anxiety, addiction, depression, sexual assault and Complex PTSD. I specialize in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), & Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT).

My belief is that everyone deserves to be thriving throughout life, not just surviving. When our mental health starts impacting our daily activities and routines, it can be hard to see a way to improve the situation. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, caring environment for my clients to share their current struggles. Together we can address your current concerns and develop a plan that will fit your goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should be a space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported while also being challenged to recognize patterns that may be keeping them from moving forward. I meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their individual experiences, needs, and goals.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and substance use concerns. I have extensive experience working with veterans, active-duty service members, individuals impacted by sexual and childhood trauma, and clients navigating significant stress or major changes in their lives.

My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and attachment-based interventions. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from these methods based on what will be most beneficial for each client.

As a bilingual English- and Spanish-speaking therapist and combat veteran, I also understand the importance of culture, identity, and lived experience in the healing process. My goal is not simply to help clients manage symptoms, but to help them better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and build a life that feels more aligned with who they want to become.
