Great to meet you!

I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Florida Christian College. I am deeply passionate about helping people of all ages thrive and overcome life’s most challenging seasons.

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, life transitions, spirituality, parenting, adolescent concerns, and school-related challenges. My approach is rooted in understanding each person’s unique story and helping them move toward meaningful, lasting change.

I grew up in Georgia and moved to Florida 27 years ago when I married my best friend. For nearly 30 years, I have worked with children, adolescents, and families in a wide range of settings. My experience includes work in churches and parachurch organizations, managing group homes for young men both aging out of foster care and currently in foster care, and advocating for vulnerable children and adults while serving as a Child Protective Investigator, Adult Protective Investigator, and Case Manager with the Department of Children and Families. I have also supported individuals in acute crisis while working in the admissions department of a psychiatric hospital.

Outside of my work, I am the proud dad of three boys and two dogs. I love being outdoors and enjoy mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, camping, climbing, running, functional training workouts—and good coffee and a cold beer.

My approach to therapy

Through my training and professional experience, I have learned the importance of caring for the whole person—spirit, soul, and body. While addressing symptoms is often a necessary starting point, I believe true healing happens when we work toward the root causes behind them. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to loving God and loving people well.

What you can expect from me

In my work as a therapist, I use a collaborative, strengths-based approach to help clients better understand their challenges and discover effective ways to overcome them. I strive to create a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients can process, heal, and grow. I develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client, drawing from a variety of therapeutic approaches to best meet their needs. You can expect to be in the driver's seat of your therapy journey and to be supported, encouraged, and equipped by me along the way. Together we will make sure you have the tools to realize your goals
