Hello! My name is Elijah and I have been a licensed therapist for almost 20 years. I specialize in Anxiety/Panic treatment, Couples/Marital Counseling, and am strongly LGBTQ allied. A good therapist has an eclectic toolbox to work from but I do mainly focus on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy as well as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. These therapies work to helping identify the root causes of what is going on and leverages your strengths to overcome your obstacles.
During out time together we will set up measurable, realistic goals for what you want to get out of therapy. We will work side by side towards those goals until you achieve your desired outcome. Therapy is only 50 minutes out of a week so I usually try to send my clients home with some kind of homework, whether that be a new tool to practice using or a way to implement a small change over the course of the week.
