Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Elijah, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Philadelphia, PA. Graduating from Temple University with a Master's degree in Social Work, I have gathered a lot of experience working with many different populations. In my professional journey, I've gravitated towards and built the most experience working with clients navigating issues related to Sex and Intimacy, Relationships, Sexuality, Race/Ethnicity, Gender identity, and Depression/Anxiety. Each of these themes holds such a special place in my heart and serves as the backbone to my practice as a therapist.

My approach to therapy

I want to treat therapy like a holistic grounding space. My practice is compassionate, culturally competent, and encompasses more than just one form of therapeutic support or school of thought. My eclectic background in therapy, combined with my person-centered approach to wellness, drives my work in helping clients understand, process, reconnect, and ultimately heal from the wounds life has brought them. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space where people who may feel overlooked or undervalued can gain confidence, self-love, resilience, and skills to enhance their quality of life. Using tools like Humor, collaboration, patience, and accountability are fundamental in my practice.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I want to take the time to get to know you as a client. The relationship between clients and therapists is so important to the healing process, and I want all of my clients to feel comfortable enough to be themselves without judgment. Clients can expect to spend time with a therapist who doesn't operate like a brick wall. I'm in the room with you, and I consider it my responsibility to help make the client feel safe and encouraged. Traditionally, in my first sessions, we will explore setting goals that feel personal to you and not generic. This could mean anything from reaching an important life milestone to just expanding your understanding of a problem you struggle with.
