Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor and independently licensed chemical dependency counselor with a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. I also hold advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, which helps me support clients in understanding how past experiences, relationships, and recurring emotional patterns may affect their lives today. My experience includes working with adults facing stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, substance use, and recovery. I strive to provide a thoughtful, collaborative space where clients feel respected, understood, and able to work toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to each person’s needs. I help clients explore how past experiences, relationships, and recurring emotional patterns may be shaping their current concerns, while also developing practical ways to cope and move forward. I draw from psychoanalytic, person-centered, and evidence-based approaches, with particular experience in substance use, recovery, stress, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients can speak openly, deepen their self-understanding, and make meaningful, lasting changes.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we will spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from the process. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, relationships, strengths, and any patterns that may be affecting you. You can expect a relaxed, respectful environment without pressure to share more than you are comfortable discussing. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying goals and deciding together what direction may be most helpful for your treatment.
