Great to meet you!

I'm Elisa "Yvette" Hilario, a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin & a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

I partner with clients to optimize their mental health and tailor treatments to meet their unique needs. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and health & wellness education for adults age 18 and up. At this time, I offer telehealth only appointments (virtual visits).

I have expertise in diagnosing & treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, insomnia, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. Prior to working in outpatient care, I managed schizophrenia and dementia in long-term care settings and worked as a Registered Nurse at a residential treatment center for children & adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges.

My approach to therapy

I take an integrative approach to mental and behavioral healthcare, blending evidence-based treatments, like medication and psychotherapy, with holistic tools, like lifestyle changes and overall health assessment.

My clinical approach is grounded in functional psychiatry, which emphasizes understanding and addressing the underlying contributors to mental health conditions, rather than focusing solely on symptom management. This means I consider the full picture of your health - mind, body, and environment.

What you can expect from me

Whether you’re navigating burnout, anxiety, or trauma, or seeking greater balance and vitality, we’ll work together to treat the source of your distress and cultivate long-term well-being. I aim to partner with you to develop a treatment plan that is personalized, comprehensive, and sustainable.

A treatment plan may include prescribing you medication when appropriate, along with complementary interventions such as psychotherapy, lab test monitoring, nutritional guidance, supplement education, and mind-body techniques. My goal is to help you feel better in a way that is lasting and aligned with what truly matters to you.
