Great to meet you!

I specialize in working with those struggling with life transitions, identity issues, and racial/cultural concerns, in particular, Asian American experiences. Many of my clients often come to me to gain a better understanding of themselves and why they respond to the world in the ways that they do. Often they feel like they are going through the motions, being successful in their careers or in school but feeling a sense of dissatisfaction and rootlessness.

My approach to therapy

I work from an integrative perspective, combining an insight-oriented approach with goal-focused interventions. In doing so, the objective is to help you develop a stronger sense of self and bolster your abilities to adapt and thrive. I also strongly believe that the relationship between therapist and patient is key for one to be able to explore, reflect, and ultimately heal. As such, I prioritize in creating a safe, supportive space where we may work together to better understand your unique experiences.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I generally ask a lot of questions to get a better sense of your story, your earliest relationships and experiences. My general style in sessions is active, warm, curious and conversational.
