Great to meet you!

Our lives are works in progress, and together we can decide how therapy can aid your unique journey. Since 2016, I've had the opportunity to support many who made the choice to be an active participant in their journeys toward healing, understanding, and allowing themselves an overall healthier and happier life.

I have experience working with adults who struggle with issues around trauma, substance use, suicidality, attachment, and adjustment. My history as a clinician in corrections would make me a good fit for those with a history of incarceration, as well as to provide support for working with first responders. My history as a clinical supervisor also aligns with my interest in working with other therapists and helping professionals. I was recently certified as an end-of-life doula and have specialized training to support those experiencing end-of-life and their caregivers.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is best described by how we consider the past, present, and future. In terms of the past, I want to help my clients understand how their life experiences have shaped their current belief systems, feelings, and behaviors. In terms of the future, we will create manageable steps toward your identified goals. I hope to help you balance this by also practicing strategies to stay in the present, where so much joy lives and is waiting to have a bigger presence in your life.

What you can expect from me

My goal is to provide my clients with a warm environment and a safe space where vulnerability and trust can grow. You will have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy, as well as time to share any questions or concerns you may have about the process. I also know how difficult feelings can be so much of the time, so please expect some humor as healing in session as well!
