I am a licensed professional counselor with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I am passionate about my work and use an approach that is compassionate, encouraging, and non-judgmental. I provide a warm and comfortable space where clients can begin the process of healing in a safe environment. I am experienced in many different therapeutic modalities and tailor my sessions to meet the unique needs of the client.
My main approach to therapy is client -centered . I believe that creating a therapeutic relationship with a client where they feel understood and are shown unconditional positive regard can be very healing. I also have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I am certified in trauma work as well as sand play therapy. I tailor treatment to meet the needs of the client.
My clients can expect to feel hopeful after session. I provide an environment of warmth, genuineness and understanding where a client can freely explore their thoughts , feelings and beliefs that they have about themselves in order to develop a healthy self-concept. Goals and outcomes for treatment are developed along with the client.
